An evening in the Chora

From dusk to live music

Vrachos and Castello belong to the same family. They are two corners of Skopelos Town that fit easily into one evening: a drink at dusk first, then the table.

  1. Dusk at Vrachos

Climb the 108 steps from the harbour to Vrachos, the cocktail bar on the rock that has been open since 1992, for a drink over the Aegean as the harbour, the floodlit Town Hall and the lights of the town come on below.

  2. A walk through the lanes

From Vrachos, three to four minutes on foot through the lanes of the Chora bring you to Mylos Square, at the edge of the town, beneath the floodlit Venetian castle.

  3. Dinner and live music at Castello

Traditional Greek cooking, mainly grilled meats, and a three-piece band playing every evening of the season. Open daily 7 pm – 1 am, May to October.
